Perfspot.com

I have discovered a social networking site today. The site is www.perfspot.com. Apparently it is the fastest growing social networking site right now. I am not entirely convinced that this can overtake facebook and become the number one just yet with its current look and networking facilities.

It offers most of the usual features of social networking, including newsfeeds, customisable profile options and the option of linking photos to other users' profiles plus unlimited space to upload images and videos. It also provides an URL for the user which is also common features in hi5, myspace and the likes.

It does, however, have some extra features which are not available in facebook. For example, it lets the user create his/her own network which wasn’t available in the facebook. This gives the users outside the developed world to include their education and work networks in the site.

They've added quite a bit of new features that kind of give it a new taste of dynamic inginuity in the past few months.

Personally, I like the ease of use of the site, and the little extra effort they've taken to make it easier to customize your profile. Myspace loves to make it's users outsource for a simple code to customize thier background. I don't understand that, if it's so easy why not just give the user what he needs to do it on his own?

Either way, they've done a good job mixing features that other social networking sites have skipped and have been slowly but surely striving to achieve the "one-stop shop" of features in all social networks.

I agree with a lot of the stuff said here. Perfspot does make it a lot easier to cusomize your profile when compared to myspace. I have also found the videos and new game section to be very interesting. Facebook has way to many application i dont even know what is going on on that website.

Noy Nombor Bipod Shonket: Film Review

Another venture by renowned Humayun Ahmed. The film is a 100% meaningless movie. But this is not a drawback of the movie. Although the movie is completely meaningless, it does bring a lot of laughter. Good movie to kill idle time. Rating 6 out of 10.

RIP M Saifur Rahman

The country's longest serving finance minister M Saifur Rahman who steered the Bangladesh economy toward a free market path and presided over series of economic reforms died yesterday in a car crash. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s(BNP) one of the worthy politicians was travelling to the capital when his car spun out of control after the driver tried to skirt a cow on the busy Dhaka-Sylhet highway. Instead, it fell into a five-feet deep ditch with the 77-year-old leader tied up under a seat belt. Local people rescued the ailing leader unconscious but he was declared dead as his body was rushed to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital at 3.00pm. He apparently failed to untie his seat belt as he was already in ill health due to prostrate cancer. The United States lauded the late leader's "critical role in improving the lives and bringing prosperity to millions of Bangladeshis by opening Bangladesh's economy and promoting free market reforms". A professiona...
