Taare Zameen Par : Film review

I have just finished watching ‘Taare Zameen Par’ by Aamir Khan. This movie is undoubtedly the best Indian movie I have ever seen. This film is probably going to change the Bollywood finally and encourage the directors to produce films other than the romantic films. The story of the film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ revolves around a dyslexic kid whose parents and teachers fail to understand his talent. His art teacher, who is also a dyslexic, helps him to turn around and he becomes the star performer of the school eventually.

The story is carefully crafted and the film is produced with the utmost emotional patronage. Aamir Khan who is known as a perfectionist again amazed me with his attention to details. The songs of the movie have really married up with the film unlike most of the Hindi movies. The special effects were also very good by the Indian standard-full of creativity all round.

Aamir's character appears just before the end of the first half, but one is so engrossed that Aamir ‘s absence is not felt. That’s amazing! All the credit goes to the protagonist played by Darsheel Safary who in my opinion produces the best performance to date by a child artist in Hindi cinema. He is the heart and soul of the movie and it is stunning to see how naturally this boy handles scenes of intense emotions with such ease.

The film gets a whopping 10 out of 10 in my review-my first 10/10 ever!

I also salute Aamir Khan for endeavouring to produce a movie with such a potentially big financial risk in the romantic film industry of bollywood. He showed a lot of courage and emotion in producing the movie.

This movie will be really helpful for the parents facing similar problem in the South Asian region as dyslexia is often misunderstood in the region and the help and support for the people suffering from dyslexia isn’t readily available.

BUM BUM BOLE. MASTI MEIN DOLE ..

Daru Cheeni Dip: Film Review

The latest movie by Humayun Ahmed is brilliant! I loved the movie. It just talks about the all the youngsters' dream in Bangladesh while addressing the social issues as well. Rating 7 out of 10.

Noy Nombor Bipod Shonket: Film Review

Another venture by renowned Humayun Ahmed. The film is a 100% meaningless movie. But this is not a drawback of the movie. Although the movie is completely meaningless, it does bring a lot of laughter. Good movie to kill idle time. Rating 6 out of 10.

The Bourne Ultimatum

Awesome!! The Bourne Ultimatum, the 3rd and the final part of the Bourne series is just simply breathtaking!! This pacey and action packed movie glued to me to the screen until it finished. The cat and mouse chase was unbelievably realistic. Only downside of the movie-How did Bourne withstand so many car crashes and still walked away from the accident scenes?
Rating 8.5 out of 10.

The Simpsons Movie: Film Review

The Simpson Movie is an adaptation of the famous TV series. I quite liked the film although it was kind of an extended version of a The Simpsons on TV. The movie had a lengthy story. But it was quite enjoyable nevertheless. Rating 7 out of 10.

Rush Hour 3: Film Review

Action comedy masterpiece. Chris Tucker was amazing again and Jackie Chan was at his usual best. Rush Hour 3 kept me glued to the sit at the cinema for the whole length of the movie with its comedy and action scenes. Jackie Chan has shown sign of age in the movie. Overall rating 8 out of 10.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: Film review

'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' was a disappointement following on the expectation from the previous installments. The film lacked the action and the humour that were predominant in the previous episodes. Only consolation is that, I caught a morning show which saved me couple of pounds. Otherwise it would've hurt more...Overall rating 6 out of 10.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - Film Review

Why is this movie so long? It just dragged with unnecessary stretching of the action scenes. To make it worse the action scenes weren't as good as the previous two installments.

I don't understand why Will and Elizabeth had to get married in the middle of the war.

The movie was too long and the story was too complicated for my little brain to follow. I found it really difficult to concentrate and understand the story.

Overall rating 5 out of 10. It's the worst of the trilogy.

Looks like 2007 will be a bad year for the trilogies.

Fool and Final: Film Review

The film was supposed to be a comedy. I don't know what it turned out to be in the end. Very weak story and even weaker casting made the film a torture to watch throughout.

Made in Bangladesh: Film Review

Directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the film 'Made In Bangladesh' tried to depict some of the social constraints in Bangladesh.
The film started with ambiguous objective at the beginning. The first 20 minutes of the film didn’t help to build the plot at all.
But it took a good shape as soon as the main character portrayed by Zahid Hasan took over the DC’s office. The film brought out the some of the worst characteristics of Bangladeshi people from different walks of life.
It was an average movie, but it certainly was a good initiative to make a movie with social commitment.

Inside Man (Chaiya Chaiya)

Watched Inside Man today, brilliant movie-8 out of 10.
The movie started with a huge shock- the Chaiya Chaiya song from Dil Se.
It was a great movie to watch.
Slight disappointed with the title of the movie which has no relevance to the story.
Overall a very good movie.

Got my marks for ISSM- was really disappointed with the marks, but hopefully will be able to do well in the exam and will be able to get a 2:1 overall Inshallah.
