Spider-Man 3: Film Review

Watched my first English movie yesterday after I came back to the UK. Went to watch all hyped Spider-man 3 at the Odeon in Trafford Centre in Manchester.

The only thing I can remember from the movie is the John Travolta dance by Peter Parker in the restaurant.

Special effects are all too old now. I am thirsty for something new now. I have been watching Sam Raimi's work since I was about 10 year old. One of his famous work was the 'Hercules' TV series with Kevin Sorbo. I don't think Sam Raimi has changed his work much since then. He seriously needs to think of being more creative with his ideas. We have seen James Cameron and Steven Spielberg coming up with breakthrough special effects. Those effects are never present in Sam's work.

The characters of the film were stitched together well. The scene where MJ was forced to break up with Peter Parker was overdramatic like Bollywood movie and lacked credibility even by a fantasy superhero movie standard.

I sort of liked the action scenes though. I know the movie is a big hit worldwide. But I think people are watching the movie just for the sake of watching it- just because they want to fill in the blank of the trilogy.

Overall rating 6 out of 10.

Nawab Restaurant (Levenshulme, Manchester) review by Mohibur Rahman

Friends arranged a party to celebrate my homecoming (!?) last night. It was at the old, typical, crowded Nawab. After spending the whole day out eating lots of junk food, Nawab’s food was going to be a bit heavy, but we decided to go there one last time for old time sake. Our in house food expert the honourable Mr Mohibur Rahman was asked to give his kind input in the review of the Nawab’s food. He agreed. So here’s the damage below. At first, I must advice that Mohib is a very difficult person to please to, especially when it comes to food.
