First day at Blogger.Com

Today is my first day at blogger.com I have been using Tripod for blog. But today I just thought I'd go for a change. Spoke to Ruth at Royal Holloway, University of London today, requested a letter from them confirming my 'Home' student status, so that I can apply for MBA loan. Also spoke to HSBC Bangladesh about my ATM card, I was not happy with the person at the call centre in Dhaka, so she got the Manager of NRB division to call me back- very impressed with their service. Not done much today, trying to get a loan to fund my study- back to the hassle of running around again after 5 years. Desperately miss my family, I wish I could spend few days with them. Don't think it's going to be possible now. Spoke to Arman Bhai today, he is staying in our Dhaka house after coming back from Saudi Arabia. Apparently is doing some sort of clothing business. Exporting clothes from Bangladesh-Impressive. Going to go for a walk in a bit, just to get my brain refreshed, Junaid is...

Another shit day

Shit Day

Got the written offer from Royal Holloway, University of London for MBA. Suddenly I lost interest in doing the MBA. Just cant be bothered going through all the hassle again. Feel like going Bangladesh and chill for a while. I am in very mood today. Nothing is going right for me today.

Another eventful day

Woke up in the morning and phoned Royal Holloway, University of London Management Schoo. Spoke to Professor David Faulkner, he advised me that I have been offered unconditionally for MBA INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT . Good start of a day. Then I called Graduation Services to return my graduation robe and I was told that I'll have to pay for the postage of the robes. I was really angry at that. I am not going to pay for the postage of the robe. Spoke to Samdani online, had a catch up session. Now will be heading for Mosque for Jum'a Inshallah. Just phoned home, my brother is not well, suffering from high fever. Doctors suspecting it might be Dengue fever. I have asked them to take him to hospital for a thorough check up.

Superman Returns - WHY?

Watched Superman Returns in IMAX 3D. Apart from the 3D effects there was nothing worth watching in the film. Completely bogus(!) and poorly plotted story. Rating 3 out of 10. People who are not watching on 3D please do not waste your money watching the movie.

Rowing again

Only had 3 hour sleep last night. Went to boat rowing with Junaid, Jana and Mohib. Me and Mohib teamed up against Junaid and Jana. We had a race which we (I) won. Mohib couldn't row at all. So I had to row for the most of the time and now I whole body is hurting. Me and Mohib also splashed lot of water to Junaid and Jana and got them completely soaked in the process. Then we played golf.

Graduation/Convocation 2006

Just had my Convocation today. It was great fun! Junaid and Jana were there early in the morning at the Bridgewater Hall. Then Fupu, Cherry, Robel, Ayesha, Aimee and Armani went there too. It was really short and sweet ceremony. Went for a family meal in the evening. Junaid and Mohib were there too. It was a good family get together after a long time.

Italy win the world cup 2006

Abar dhora khailam. Shalar jei team support kori shei team i haare. Zidane got sent off in a mad and boring world cup final in which France should have won but Italy came good in the penalties. Until today, I didn't even know Italy's captain's name, hold on, I still don't know the Italian captain's name. And yet they managed to win the world cup. Well done to Marcello Lippi for his shrewed planning. Gutted with Zidane's handling with temper, and it again shows that footballers are far far off the regular civic manners that are a norm in the modern society. Got a terrible headache from cold. Can't seem to get rid of it.

Tennis!!

Played Tennis today, legs hurt, not sure why, didnt need to run much as most of the points were earned through double faults..gota practice more. A little bit bored at the moment, listening to music and chatting online. What else!! Planning a visit to Toronto..see what happens.

Discovery

Just watched space shuttle discovery being launched. Followed the space shuttle through BBC until it reached the orbit. Amazing scenes. I feel really privileged to have witnessed such a brilliant human effort. Simply amazing!! Just watched the most amazing match between Italy V. Germany. Italy won it 2-0 with goals on 118th and 120th minute goals. Amazingly positive attitue in both of the teams putting the English team in shame. Dont think the English team had same firepower as any of these teams.

A great day !!

Had a fabulous day today !! Went down to town early afternoon with Junaid. Had a really good time. In the evening Me,Amir & Junaid three old folks met up and went to Nando's. A few other friends were there. We had a blast there. It's always different when me, Junaid and Amir are together. And I think I had one of the best days in months. Really really geared up for another busy week.

Magnificent Zidane !!

ust finished watching the world cup quarter final of Fance V. Brazil. A thoroughly enjoyable match after a toutourus England V. Portugal quarter final match. Zidane was at his absolute best and proved why France needed him back to the national squad to rescue the team. In the early afternoon watched England V. Portugal match. I was really angry with Eriksson's match tactics and Rooney's stupidity. In the second half England played really well with 10 men, had it been 11 English players on the field they could've easily won it. Eriksson should have followed 4-4-2 formation with having one more player up front to support Rooney from the beginning of the game.
