Cox's Bazar

Back from Cox's Bazar. Had wonderful couple of days there. We were 21 people in total. All cousins and nephews+nieces. The whole time was packed with music sessions, horse riding, chilling on the beach, playing football on the beach, sunbathing and bathing in the sea. It was an amazing experience!! Unfortunately no one took my pictures while I was riding horse- I am very upset because of that!!! Came back to Chittagong with them in my hired 10 seater, they already had another 18 seater with them. It was good fun all the way. Went to Chittagong after 4 years. It was good see my old little town. Parvez Bhai+ Ferdousi Apu were extremely cordial. I have never experienced this sort of reception in my life. Went to few places in Chittagong including visiting my grandmother's graveyard.

Going to Cox's Bazar Inshallah

I have been planning the family trip to Cox's Bazar for last couple of days. I had decided to take my brothers to Cox's Bazar and was looking for the best option. Yesterday I decided to go Cox's Bazar on 25/01/06 and as it was going to be a short trip, to make it comfortable we decided to fly by GMG Airlines to Cox's Bazar. I then contacted my cousins in Chittagong to ask if they would like to go. They all hopped on. They are taking about 15 people from Chittagong. Parvez Bhai booked 5 rooms at Hotel Shaibal of Cox's Bazar. From Cox's Bazar I am planning to go Chittagong on 26/01/2006- I haven't been to Chittagong for nearly 4 years! Looking forward to the trip.

Fantasy Kingdom

Went to Fantasy Kingdom today with Towhid, my cousin Jasmine and her little daughter Lili. Fantasy Kingdom is the first of few theme parks in Bangladesh. Quite nicely constructed in Ashulia, Savar. (Just half an hour drive from my house) Rides were quite cheap. It had all the good rides that I have been on in the UK. Lili had a very good time there.

Made in Bangladesh: Film Review

Directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the film ' Made In Bangladesh ' tried to depict some of the social constraints in Bangladesh. The film started with ambiguous objective at the beginning. The first 20 minutes of the film didn’t help to build the plot at all. But it took a good shape as soon as the main character portrayed by Zahid Hasan took over the DC’s office. The film brought out the some of the worst characteristics of Bangladeshi people from different walks of life. It was an average movie, but it certainly was a good initiative to make a movie with social commitment.
