Tiger Army Destroys India

I should feel knackered from being up all night and shouting cheering Bangladesh Cricket team. But I feel just the opposite. Whole Bangladesh feel the same.

Bangladesh has defeated India in their first match in the Cricket World Cup 2007 by 5 wickets. It's not the fact that Bangladesh won making me feel good. It's the way they defeated India. India looked like an underdog in front of Bangladeshi young tigers. I've just been reading the Indian press- they have slaughtered their cricketers. One person died in Gujarat as he couldn't cope with India's tragic defeat. May his soul rest in peace.

I hope that Bangladesh goes to the 2nd round and plays few more good games in the next stage of the World Cup.

Noy Nombor Bipod Shonket: Film Review

Another venture by renowned Humayun Ahmed. The film is a 100% meaningless movie. But this is not a drawback of the movie. Although the movie is completely meaningless, it does bring a lot of laughter. Good movie to kill idle time. Rating 6 out of 10.

It speaks of the people who have left home for a better life. Transliteration of the song follows: Durer manush ashe ochena shohor Jontro nogore kate obak prohor Obujh chokhete taar koto na shwapan Ojana bashona mone gohin gopon Ekaki pothe haate she pashe chole chaya tar Bondhu to noy Ochena mukher shari virumon voi Shwapno chowar shiri dure shore roy Durer manush chena nijeke haray Ochena nijeke dekhe chena...

The possibilities and limitations for transferring Japanese lean production work practices to British institutional environment

Introduction: ‘Lean production system’ is a very popular generic mass production management system. It is also known as ‘Toyota Production System’. Lean system develops highly responsive systems whereby companies produce “goods and services exactly when they are needed: not before they are needed so that they wait as inventory, nor after they are needed so that it is the customers who have to wait”. (Slack, 2001) It is based on three key principles, eliminate waste, involving everyone and continuous improvement. The lean system was developed by Taiichi Ohno at Toyota in the 1950s. Taiichi was a manufacturing manager and was facing difficulties because of poor supply conditions. He couldn’t plan ahead as he couldn’t predict the supply of raw materials. This was causing cash flow problems as the plan was making more and more unfinished vehicles that couldn’t be sold. To identify which parts were missing he developed a system for linking production stages together very closely a...
